Data in and out

Agillic is always a part of an ecosystem of data – integrating to multiple mar-tech services. Hence, getting data in and out of Agillic in an efficient and easy manner is pivotal for the initial parts of the project and for optimising the marketing efforts.

In order establish the most optimal architecture early on, it is important to understand both the Agillic Data model, the settings and the available methods for importing and exporting data.

Data Model

Agillic supports a set of different data structures, that can be configured in the Agillic UI. As such the configurator can create the entire data model in the UI without any need for coding.

In the Data Model section you can see examples of the data models and types used for Agillic Candy Store, a fictional candy retail company used to illustrate use cases.

Agillic naturally support import of data via file uploads. For realtime purposes APIs can be used and for more advanced data structures such as Global Data Tables and Promotions an ETL service combined with a Transformation script can be used.

Exporting data out of Agillic is in most cases used for analytical purposes. However, APIs can also be used to fetch and expose recipient specific data on a 3rd party site or application. To update other 3rd party systems, Webhooks can be triggered to transfer a specified set of data.

You will find specific settings for Export such as file type, date formats and delimiters in the Administration module.
